Lifestyle Management seeks to address and treat various aspects that make up an individual’s overall well-being. By addressing the larger issue at hand, our clients can begin to work toward greater health.
We provide confidential help for modifying attitudes, emotions, and behaviors that affect health. You will learn how to understand and remove barriers to make lasting lifestyle changes.
It may seem that there’s nothing you can do about stress. The bills won’t stop coming, there will never be more hours in the day, and your career and family responsibilities will always be demanding. But at TrueNorth Wellness Services, you will learn that you have more control than you might think. In fact, the simple realization that you’re in control of your life is the foundation of stress management. Managing stress is all about taking charge—of your thoughts, emotions, and schedule, as well as the ways you deal with problems.
You will learn how to identify the sources of stress in your life by looking closely at your habits, attitude, and excuses. You will learn healthier ways to manage stress and strategies in order to repair the source of the problem—an inability to stop worrying or to manage overwhelming stress and emotions. TrueNorth Wellness Services provides educational programs on relaxation techniques to activate your relaxation response so that you can effectively combat stress and ease tension. We recognize that there is no “one size fits all” solution to managing stress. We believe that wellness is personal and that no single method works for everyone or in every situation. We promote a variety of techniques that help you feel calm and in control to improve your everyday life and relationships.
TrueNorth Wellness Services offers psychotherapy that focuses on helping those suffering from complicated grief to accept the finality of their loss and rebuild their lives. Loss of a loved one is a natural, universally experienced life event and, at the same time, among life’s most challenging experiences. Research shows that for most of us, the intensity of grief right after the death of a loved one, commonly called acute grief, becomes more manageable with time. The person stops dominating your mind and rests peacefully in your heart. TrueNorth Wellness Services collaborates with Olivia’s House — a grief and loss center for children in York and Hanover. But for “the grief that won’t heal,” we offer hope through a structured therapy program that allows mourners to gradually remove the restrictions they have placed on their ongoing lives so that they once again can experience joy.
