Getting Started in Outpatient

OPEN ACCESS for Outpatient services:

What is Open Access?

Open Access is a way for individuals to obtain an intake for mental health or substance use therapy the same day that they present to a TrueNorth office during Open Access hours. We make every effort to make the process efficient and convenient. If you arrive and are unable to complete the process, we will work with you to ensure you can access services.

Who?

Individuals with the following insurances will enter services through our Open Access Program: Medicaid, County funding, Self-pay, and some commercial insurances. Those with private insurance not accepted through Open Access will be scheduled with a credentialed therapist, as openings are available. Our Pre-Registration staff will work with you to determine how you access services.

When?

Open Access occurs weekly at all of our outpatient offices during designated office hours. Our hours and days vary by location, so please call x1475 for updated information. Availability may change due to holiday schedules and provider absences, so we encourage continued use of x1475 for the most up-to-date information.

Where?

All of our outpatient offices, including Gettysburg, Hanover, Harrisburg, McConnellsburg, Shrewsbury, and York.

Why?

Open Access reduces wait times for therapy and helps us get all of the initial paperwork out of the way so we can get to what brings you to treatment in the first place.

How?

Those wishing to become clients call our Pre-Registration team. Pre-registration will provide information about the Open Access hours, how to complete intake paperwork, and will collect pertinent information to establish you as a client. Upon arriving at the office, you may need to complete a few additional forms, then meet with a provider for your initial visit. During the visit, the provider will complete paperwork with you, including a mental health assessment and an initial treatment plan. If needed, you will then be matched with a provider who best meets your ongoing service needs.

Make it a GREAT day with OA!
