Residential and Community Support Services in Central Pennsylvania
TrueNorth Wellness Services is proud to offer a variety of residential and community-based programs designed to support adults with a history of mental health concerns. Our services focus on promoting independence, wellness, and quality of life through safe housing, skill development, and compassionate care.
Assisted Living Program
The Assisted Living homes are three-bedroom ranch-style homes in Hanover, Littlestown, and York, staffed 24/7 to support older adults with behavioral health needs. The individuals residing in this program typically benefit from increased daily support (such as meal preparation, assistance with daily activities, etc.) All referrals must be made to the York/Adams MH-IDD program.


Community Residential Rehabilitation Program
The CRR Program provides a structured “group home” setting in Hanover, PA, offering skill-building, symptom management, and support for individuals striving toward independent living. The program is designed to assist adults with a mental health history to live in a safe, home-like environment, while empowering each client to reach their highest level of independence.
Supportive Living Program/Community Hospital Integration Project Program CHIPP
The CHIPP Program provides community-based housing in Chambersburg and Hanover, with 24/7 staff assistance to individuals who are formerly living in psychiatric state hospitals or other structured living settings. The program offers an array of support services, such as medication monitoring, transportation, and other essential services, to individuals living in a clustered apartment setting.


Supported Housing/Supported Housing Outreach
Available in Adams and York counties, the Supported Housing Program helps individuals locate and secure their own apartment. At the same time, Supported Housing provides the level of support services necessary for the individual to maintain their independence (assistance with transportation, daily living skills, etc.).
Social Rehabilitation Services
Our psychosocial rehabilitation program, based in Hanover, PA, is designed to provide an educational, recreational, and supportive environment for the enrichment and development of individuals with mental disorders. Our center offers daily living skills, vocational goals, and socialization classes that help individuals to understand and accept their mental illness and live in their community of choice without recurring hospitalization.
